WHEN IS MOPDC's WINTER
INTENSIVE?
The intensive will be held in NYC for
three days - January 19-21, 2019. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.
WHAT WILL WE ENGAGE IN DURING THE
INTENSIVE?
MOPDC's
weekend Winter Intensive will offer intermediate/advanced dancers the
opportunity to explore and connect with various dances of the African
Diaspora, tools for creating socially conscious choreography, and
experiential insight as to ways in which Dances of the African
Diaspora can be incorporated in Dance Theater.
HOW DO I AUDITION FOR MOPDC's WINTER
INTENSIVE?
No Audition Necessary!
WHAT IS THE TUITION TO ATTEND
MOPDC's WINTER INTENSIVE?
• Option 1: Full Intensive $175 + tax USD Early Bird Discount until December 19th, $200 after.
• Option 2: Only the 8
Master Classes $80 + tax USD Early Bird Discount until December 19th, $100 after.

WHAT TO BRING?
• Warm
dance wear
• Sneakers + handkerchief flag of your country
(optional) for Soca + House
• A lapa (or
long scarf/piece of fabric) for Afro-Brazilian
• Water bottle
• The lunch break is short. Although there are places to get food nearby you may want to bring your lunch. Please note there are no microwaves to heat food.
DOES MOPDC PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION, HOUSING, OR FOOD?
Unfortunately MOPDC does not provide accommodations in the form of transportation, housing or food. Securing additional accommodations is up to each participant.
